Our Vineyard Partners

Zenith Vineyard farms 78 acres of vines, but 85% of our fruit is custom-farmed and sold under long-term contract to our winery clients.

St. Innocent Winery St. Innocent is our partner in the vineyard as a 25% owner and also is our partner in the winery. St. Innocent buys Pinot noir from the vineyard and began making Zenith Vineyard designated wine in 2006; St. Innocent made Oconnor Vineyard (the previous name of the vineyard) wines from 1989 – 1998 . Mark Vlossak, St. Innocent’s President and winemaker, makes our Zenith Vineyard wines as well. We are Mark’s biggest fans.  Some of the biggest scores on Zenith wines have come from St. Innocent.

Ponzi Vineyards Ponzi was one of the founding families of the Oregon wine industry, and we are thrilled to have them as our largest partner winery sourcing Pinot noir and Pinot gris.  Luisa Ponzi carries on the family tradition of making wines of great finesses.

Adelsheim Vineyard
We began working with David Adelsheim and Dave Paige in 2005, and Adelsheim is making spectacular wines including a Zenith Vineyard designated Pinot noir that sells for over $90.  David was one of the pioneers of the Oregon wine industry and it is a source of great pride for Zenith to work with Adelsheim Vineyard and Ponzi Vineyard – two of the first five of the Oregon Pinot noir pioneers.

Grochau Cellars We work with John Grochau on four acres of Pinot noir from blocks 6 and 7.  John partners with Vincent Fritzsche of Vincent Wine Co, who also makes a wonderful vineyard-designated Zenith Pinot.

Biggio Hamina Cellars Todd Hamina developed a strong following at Patton Valley and at Maysera wineries and then struck out on his own with the 2007 vintage.  Todd is a terrific winemaker and voted the best sense of humor of this pack!  We are farming 3.7 acres of Pinot noir for Todd.  He makes spectacular Zenith Vineyard-designated Pinot noir that has earned him several 90+ point ratings for Zenith wines.

Broadley Vineyards In 2008 we planted two acres of Pinot noir under a very long term contract with Broadley Vineyards.  We have long been fans of the Broadley wines and appreciate partnering with Morgan, Jessica, Claudia and Craig.  They made spectacular Zenith Vineyard designated wines in 2008 and 2009.

Elemental Cellars Steven and Sonja Westby, winemakers at Witness Tree Vineyard, have this label as a side project, doing “interesting” varietals from the Willamette Valley.  We are thrilled to have them make our Auxerrois from the oldest block of this Alsatian white varietal in Oregon!

Seufert Winery Jim Seufert has an exciting winery in Dayton and is producing exciting Pinot noir from Zenith Vineyard fruit.  Visit his very cool winery in “downtown” Dayton.

Wildaire Cellars Matt and Jean Driscoll make impressive Pinot noir from Zenith Vineyard fruit and sell it in their Carlton tasting room.

Chateau Bianca Andreas Wetzel began making Zenith Pinot noir in 2011.

Lange Winery We are thrilled to be working with Jesse Lange on some 2011 Pinot noir!
