Wine Tasting in the Eola-Amity Hills
Experience Oregon Wine Country at Zenith Vineyard
Just west of Salem, in the heart of Oregon's Eola-Amity Hills, Zenith Vineyard offers a wine tasting experience that goes beyond the tasting room.
Our 133-acre estate is a place to settle in for an afternoon: taste wines grown from the vineyards surrounding you, learn why individual vineyard blocks and Pinot Noir clones produce remarkably different wines, enjoy a charcuterie board, and take in the changing views across the vines.
Zenith is an estate vineyard, which means the story of our wine begins right outside the tasting room. The soils, elevation, vineyard design, farming decisions, and famously cool afternoon winds of the Eola-Amity Hills all influence what eventually makes its way into your glass.
Whether you're spending a weekend wine tasting in the Willamette Valley, visiting Salem, introducing friends to Oregon wine, or simply looking for a beautiful place to spend an afternoon, we want a tasting at Zenith to feel relaxed, personal, and genuinely connected to the vineyard.
From the Vineyard to Your Glass
Pinot Noir may have made the Willamette Valley famous, but one of the joys of tasting at Zenith is discovering just how much variety can come from a single estate.
Our vineyard includes multiple Pinot Noir clones, allowing us to explore the subtle differences created by clone, vineyard block, vintage, and winemaking. Guests may encounter everything from our approachable Vineyard Cuvée Pinot Noir to individual clonal expressions, including clones 115, 667 and Wädenswil.
Beyond Pinot Noir, Zenith produces estate-grown Chardonnay, Rosé of Pinot Noir, Tempranillo sparkling wines and less expected varieties such as Auxerrois—a grape with a long and particularly special history here at the vineyard.
Rather than simply pouring a flight, our team loves talking about what's in your glass: where the grapes were grown, how the wine was made, and why it tastes the way it does.
You don't need to know anything about wine before you arrive. Curiosity is more than enough.
Choose Your Wine Tasting Experience
Estate Wine Tasting
Our Estate Tasting is a relaxed introduction to Zenith Vineyard and the wines we grow and produce here in the Eola-Amity Hills.
Enjoy a guided flight while learning about the vineyard, our wines, and the characteristics that make this corner of the Willamette Valley such an extraordinary place to grow grapes.
This is a wonderful choice for first-time visitors, casual wine drinkers, and anyone spending a day exploring wineries near Salem.
Barrel Select Tasting
For guests who want to dig a little deeper, our Barrel Select Tasting explores some of Zenith's more limited and distinctive wines.
It's an opportunity to experience more of the nuance of our vineyard and winemaking while learning about differences in clone, vintage, vineyard block, barrel selection, and wine style.
No wine expertise required. Questions are encouraged.
Walk the Vineyard: The Zenith Legacy Experience
Sometimes the best way to understand a wine is to stand in the place where it began.
Offered seasonally from April through October, the Zenith Legacy Experience takes guests beyond the tasting room for a private journey through our 133-acre estate.
As you move through the vineyard, we'll explore the soils, climate, vineyard design, farming practices, grape varieties, and history of the property. Along the way, you'll stop in the vineyard to taste finished wines connected to what you're seeing around you, accompanied by artisan food bites.
For visitors looking for a vineyard tour and wine tasting in the Willamette Valley—not simply another tasting-room flight—this is the quintessential Zenith experience.
See How Oregon Wine Is Made: Vine to Vintage
For the wine curious, our Vine to Vintage Tour follows the journey from grape to bottle.
We'll begin among the vines and talk about harvest and picking before heading into the working winery. Depending on the season, you may see where fruit is processed, learn how fermentation happens, explore barrel and stainless-steel aging, and discover the decisions that transform freshly harvested grapes into finished wine.
Because this is a real working vineyard and winery, no two visits are exactly alike. Harvest looks very different from a quiet winter afternoon, and we adapt the experience to what's actually happening in the winery that day.
A Zenith Vineyard wine flight is included with the experience.
Come for the Wine. Stay for the Afternoon.
Wine tasting doesn't need to feel formal or rushed.
One of our favorite things is watching guests finish their tasting and decide they're not quite ready to leave.
Order a charcuterie board or seasonal snack, choose a glass of your favorite wine, explore the gallery adjacent to the tasting room, or find a spot outside overlooking the vineyard when Oregon weather cooperates.
Our tastings typically last 60 to 90 minutes, but you're welcome to slow down and enjoy the estate.
We welcome experienced collectors and people taking their first trip through Oregon wine country with equal enthusiasm. Families are welcome, well-behaved dogs can join you, and our team is always happy to answer questions—whether you're discussing the finer points of Pinot Noir clones or wondering why people swirl the wine in their glass.

Zenith produces a diverse collection of estate-grown wines from our vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills. While Pinot Noir is at the heart of Oregon wine country, our vineyard allows us to explore an unusually broad range of cool-climate varieties.
Our wines include Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Gamay, Tempranillo and Auxerrois, along with Rosé of Pinot Noir, White Pinot Noir and sparkling wines. We also produce individual Pinot Noir clonal wines, offering guests the opportunity to taste how different clones express themselves within the same estate vineyard.
